Skopje, 16.02.2026 The Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Muamet Hoxha, held a working meeting with representatives of the World Bank, led by Ms. Karol Megevand, at which they discussed the current cooperation and the possibilities for its further deepening in the area of air quality management.
На средбата беше констатирано дека во моментов се имплементираат повеќе значајни проекти насочени кон подобрување на состојбата со аерозагадувањето, но дека останува потребата од дополнителни инвестиции.
Министерот Хоџа истакна дека негова цел е системска промена во справувањето со аерозагадувањето , како клучен приоритет во неговата работа и во работата на Министерството. Тој нагласи дека долгорочните и одржливи решенија бараат силно партнерство со меѓународните институции и континуирана поддршка во спроведувањето на реформите.
In that regard, Hoxha expressed readiness to continue and deepen cooperation with the World Bank, emphasizing that open communication will continue in the future, with a common goal - improving air quality and protecting the health of citizens.
The Minister pointed out that the Ministry and the Government are continuously working to improve air quality through the Clean Air Action Plan, the Program for the period 2024–2030, as well as through ongoing projects financed through IPA 2 and IPA 3. It was emphasized that there remains a need for additional investments and enhanced technical support to reduce pollution and ensure a clean environment for all citizens.
